Etihad Airways and Royal Air Maroc (RAM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance their collaboration and strengthen their commercial and operational ties, benefiting their customers. This agreement highlights the commitment of both airlines to explore greater cooperation, aiming to offer travelers expanded choices, quality services, and added value while promoting sustainable aviation, according to a joint statement from Etihad Airways and Royal Air Maroc.
Etihad Airways’ CEO, Antonoaldo Neves, stated in the release, “This agreement covers a wide range of activities, from exploring the expansion of existing codeshare agreements to cover more domestic routes in Morocco and Africa, to reviewing the development of existing loyalty program cooperation, as well as exploring collaborations in ground handling, maintenance, and engineering.”
Royal Air Maroc’s CEO, Abdelhamid Addou, expressed his pride in the partnership with Etihad Airways, saying, “We are very proud to enter into this important partnership with Etihad Airways, which aligns with our ambition to further enhance our air connectivity and continue offering our passengers a more optimized and seamless travel experience through our respective hubs.”
The existing codeshare agreement improves connectivity for customers of both airlines, providing access to various destinations across their respective networks, including routes between Morocco and the United Arab Emirates, as well as beyond Casablanca in Africa and beyond Abu Dhabi. It also allows customers to book their entire journey on a single ticket and have their luggage checked through to their final destination.
