The Mohammed VI Center for Research and Innovation (CM6RI) has received ISO 9001 certification, covering all of its activities and internal processes. The centre received the certification in June 2026, after about a year of work that started in April 2025 to organise and strengthen its quality management system. CM6RI operates under the Mohammed VI Foundation of Sciences and Health (FM6SS) and is led by Professor Saber Boutayeb.
The certification covers the centre’s full range of processes, including administrative work, research and innovation activities, and its day-to-day operations.
The project involved several teams and staff responsible for different processes. They worked on organising existing practices, using common working methods and introducing continuous improvement into the centre’s daily operations.
The certification comes as CM6RI expands its research, innovation and technology development activities. It provides a quality management framework for the centre and its different platforms.
CM6RI plans to introduce other ISO standards and specific quality frameworks for its research platforms. The standards will be chosen according to the work and areas of expertise of each platform.
The centre will now focus on maintaining its ISO 9001 certification and improving its quality management system.
ISO 9001 is an international standard for quality management systems. It helps organisations put consistent processes in place and show that they can meet relevant customer and regulatory requirements.
CM6RI’s certification also gives the centre a recognised quality management framework as it develops research partnerships, innovation projects and other scientific activities.
