Hajj 2025 : Morocco warns against fake visas

Fraudulent announcements regarding the Hajj are circulating, the Moroccan authorities warn. In a statement released Tuesday, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs urged citizens to remain cautious and reminded them of the official procedures required to perform the pilgrimage.

Only visas issued through the Saudi authorities’ official online portal allow participation in the Hajj. Morocco has a specific quota, accessible either through the official organization or approved travel agencies, the ministry emphasized.

Other types of visas, including tourist or visitor visas, do not grant access to Hajj rites. Without the proper visa, it is also impossible to obtain the Nusuk card, mandatory to perform the religious rituals.

Amid the spread of misleading announcements, the ministry is calling on the public to verify their sources of information and rely solely on official channels.
