Italy has fully justified its status as an outsider for its entry into the tournament. Dominators, the Transalpines made the difference in the second half to win easily in front of a disappointing Turkish team on Friday in Rome (3-0). Thanks to goals from Merih Demiral against his camp, Ciro Immobile and Lorenzo Insigne, the Italians take the lead of group A.

Italy celebrated its comeback in international competition nicely. Friday night in Rome, the Nazionale who had missed the 2018 World Cup started the Euro perfectly by outclassing Turkey in the opening match (3-0).

In a completely one-sided meeting, Demiral scored against his camp (53rd) then the enterprising Immobile (66th) and Insigne (79th) logically worsened the score against absolutely harmless Turks. The Italians take the lead of Group A in which Wales and Switzerland will meet in Baku on Saturday (3 p.m.).
