Renault Group has appointed Pierre Edward Dutheillet as the new head of Renault Digital Maroc and Chief Information Officer for Renault Group Morocco. He started the role in July, replacing Nicolas Rouveure. Dutheillet will lead the company’s digital and IT operations in Morocco and help expand Renault’s digital activities across North Africa.
His job includes improving the information systems that support Renault’s factories, sales and technology operations.
Dutheillet has worked at Renault for more than 20 years. Most recently, he led the company’s aftersales logistics IT systems for France and continental Europe. He has also managed supply chain information systems across Europe and India.
Before joining Renault in 2002, he worked as an IT consultant at Capgemini. He has an engineering degree from École Nationale Supérieure d’Ingénieurs en Génie Chimique in Toulouse and a Master of Science from the University of Massachusetts.
The appointment comes as Morocco plays a bigger role in Renault’s global business.
In 2025, Renault built more than 394,000 vehicles at its Renault Tanger Med plant and Somaca factory plants. That made Morocco the company’s second-largest production hub after France.
About 82% of those vehicles were exported to 63 countries. Renault and Dacia also held a combined 38% share of Morocco’s car market. The company employs more than 10,000 people in the country.
Renault’s supply chain in Morocco handles more than 95,000 trucks and 12,000 containers every year. The company also uses three AI powered Control Towers to track parts and vehicle exports in real time.
Based in Casablanca, Renault Digital Maroc develops software used in manufacturing, fleet management and business sales. It also provides digital solutions to Renault operations across Africa, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific region.
In Morocco, the Dacia Sandero, Dacia Logan and Renault Kardian are among Renault Group’s best-selling models.
