T2S Group and Akdital have signed an agreement to deploy surgical robots in several Akdital healthcare facilities. The deal will also support the development of tele-surgery in Morocco. The two companies signed the framework agreement on September 23, 2026. It covers the supply, installation and maintenance of several interconnected surgical robots across Akdital’s network. The agreement is part of T2S Group’s strategy to expand robotic surgery, which the company considers one of its main growth areas. The deal will also strengthen its order book.
Robot-assisted surgery is becoming more common in Moroccan healthcare facilities as hospitals move towards minimally invasive procedures. T2S Group has been supporting this development since 2024. Its services include supplying surgical robots, installing them, training medical teams and maintaining the equipment.
T2S Group will manage the project from the installation of the robots in operating theatres to their biomedical maintenance. The company will also coordinate the different teams involved, train staff and provide the devices and instruments needed for surgical procedures.
Akdital’s surgeons, technical teams, biomedical staff and nurses will also take part in the programme. Their role will include integrating the new technology into daily medical work and helping ensure patient safety.
Training will be an important part of the project. Akdital Academy, which opened in Casablanca in September 2026, will receive a dedicated console for training surgeons in robot-assisted surgery techniques and protocols.
The project also includes plans for tele-surgery. The robots will eventually be connected so that doctors can carry out operations from a different location, while a medical team remains with the patient. The procedures will have to meet safety and clinical-coordination requirements.
The plan builds on a tele-surgery operation carried out in May 2025 between Casablanca and Laâyoune. The procedure involved two facilities belonging to the Akdital group.
T2S Group has been operating in medical technology since 1992, when it was founded in Casablanca. The company designs, distributes, installs and maintains technology-based medical solutions for healthcare professionals. It works with international medical-technology manufacturers and has also expanded its activities into sub-Saharan Africa. T2S Group has been listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange since July 2026.
T2S Group CEO Abderraouf Sordo said the agreement reflects the growing role of robotic surgery in the company’s development. He also said the company aims to make the technology available across Morocco and later expand its use across Africa.
